I’m taking a different approach this week, and I think it’s for the better…
In the past, I tried to answer as many of your questions as I could. I’d squeeze four, five or six questions in, and I’d end up going well beyond 10 minutes.
Many of you said that was just too much. I listened.
So beginning this week, I’m picking one of your questions and rolling with it. This week’s question comes from Aaron Zakowski:
Hey Jon, what are you seeing as the best ad unit right now for gaining new fans? I know you wrote about the Promoted Page ad recently, but I still don’t have that option available on my page. Are you seeing best results on Desktop or Mobile? Thanks in advance!
It’s a really good question. Watch the video for the full answer, but here are a few of the links that I reference:
- Facebook Custom Audiences: Target Facebook Ads by Email List
- Facebook Lookalike Audiences: Target Users Similar to Your Customers
- Promoted Page: Facebook Rolls Out New, Simple Advertising Feature
And my final point is one that I want to take home: Don’t focus on number of Likes alone. The focus should be on quality of people who may be interested in your brand, product or service.
If you want to run ads and get Likes at 3.5 cents a pop, you can. But it’s going to be extremely low value Fans. My instructions are based on attracting high value Fans that lead to business for the lowest possible price.
