What You Are Going to Learn Today

Today’s lesson is Labels. We’re going to focus on the following:

  • What are Labels?
  • Why Labels are Helpful
  • Examples of Using Labels
  • Where to Access Labels

The Lesson

if you’re an organized person who can’t keep track of all of your campaigns, you need to start using labels!

What are Labels?

Within the campaign creation process, you are given the ability to add a Label.

Facebook Power Editor Labels

This is how Facebook defines a Label:

Labels are a way to organize your campaigns into groups. When you create a label, a folder for it will be added to the left navigation. A campaign may have one, many, or no label at all.

I compare Labels to email folders.

Why Labels are Helpful

I often have a hard time finding a campaign. It’s also nice to have context when you’re viewing and editing. If you’re focusing on one campaign group, this allows you to lump them together.

Examples of Using Labels

It really depends on how you organize, but here are a few examples:

  1. Clients: If you don’t have multiple accounts, split up your clients by Label
  2. Pages: Organize your clients by Page
  3. Ad Type: Lump all of your Page Like Sponsored Stories together
  4. Promotion: If you create multiple campaigns to promote an eBook, keep them together
  5. What Promoted: Promoting a specific Page, post, website, app

The options are limitless!

Where to Access Labels

Labels are found on the left hand navigation.

Click on a Label to expand or view those campaigns in the main campaign view.
