You may see a new feature called Event Details when creating a Sales campaign with the Website conversion location. Let’s discuss it…
The Feature
You may see a new section for “Event Details” between Destination and Languages at the ad level.
It reads:
Include event details for your ad. Your ad will display a title, start or end time, and a reminder button so your audience can get reminders about the event.
Not to be confused with Facebook Events, which are available immediately above this section.
When you click to Add Event, you then name the event and set an event start or end time.
If a start time, you can select from options of when to send notifications.
The default option is to get notified 1 day before, 15 minutes before, and at start time. Otherwise, you can choose a day before and anywhere from 1 to 7 days after.
This is about giving people a way to subscribe to reminders about something. Maybe it’s a sale that happens at a specific time.
Event Details will not appear in every placement. I only see mention of the event within previews for Instagram Feed, Instagram Stories, and Instagram Reels.
I’m not able to see how the notification subscription process works without pushing one of these live.
Get Reminders?
This actually sounds a lot like the Get Reminders feature, but that is found within the Engagement objective.
For ad accounts that have Event Details, Get Reminders still exists. So, it doesn’t appear to be a replacement.
It’s not clear if this is a limited test or a new rollout. Do you have it?
