Know the rules inside and out. Some of the rules within Meta’s ad guidelines aren’t obvious. Read them. Ignorance is not an excuse.
Do not bend the rules or work in the gray area that may not technically be a violation but leads to great results. You may get those great results for now. But it’s rarely worth the risk.
Being ethical to a fault is a long-term commitment. It’s settings a line that you know you will not cross. It’s also an acceptance that some will cross that line and benefit, at least briefly.
While some innocent advertisers have had their ad accounts, Facebook pages, and business managers shut down, far more not-so-innocent advertisers have, too. Improve your odds by doing things the right way.
