Is a One-on-One Right for You?

You’re here for a reason. You likely stumbled on the one-on-one landing page because you’re looking for help. You’re looking for a little extra help, actually.

I want to be sure that before you take that next step and sign up for a one-on-one that you first have proper expectations for what you’ll accomplish on that call.

Hopefully you know who I am by now. You are on my website, after all! But if you need more background, I encourage you to read my “About” page.

I started this website in August of 2011 after being laid off for the second time in about two years. I haven’t had an employer since and made this a profitable business in about a year. I had no experience starting a business, so plenty of trial and error guided me along the way.

The primary reason people sign up for a one-on-one with me is to discuss advanced Facebook ads strategy. You can read all of my content on this topic, but I’m very comfortable talking about Facebook ads. I’ve been using Facebook for business purposes since 2007, and it’s critical to the growth of my business.

While most sign up to talk about Facebook ads with me, we can certainly talk about entrepreneurship as well. Beginning in January of 2017, it’s a topic that I’ve started discussing more. As an “accidental entrepreneur” — someone without any experience in starting a business — I may not be your prototypical business owner. You may relate to that.

Expectations

I want to be very clear about what you can expect upon signing up for a session with me.

Questionnaire

Within minutes of booking your session, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Make sure to open that email! Within it, you’ll find Zoom details for our session as well as a questionnaire. Please take the time to complete this questionnaire in advance of our session. This provides me background on what you’re doing and the problems you’re facing.

Technical Stuff

Yes, we’ll be conducting this over Zoom. That way, we can share audio, video, and even our screens. I typically don’t share my own screen because I think it’s most helpful to guide you to set up a campaign, for example.

Make sure that you have a microphone that works. Also, wear earbuds or headphones. Otherwise, an annoying echo is likely.

Have One Primary Goal

While some have set these up and prepared a long list of questions, my recommendation is that you have one primary goal for the session. Understand that it’s only 45 minutes. There’s only so much that we can accomplish in that time. While we certainly can tackle several topics, it’s important to be focused and realistic.

The truth is that this is typically enough for those who set up these calls. Solving one big problem can make the entire call worth it, and then some. But you need to decide ahead of time if it’s worth it for you.

Banned Accounts

If you’re advertising account has been banned, setting up a call with me is not the solution. That’s an issue between you and Facebook.

Reschedules

At this time, I don’t allow for cancellations or reschedules, though if it’s far enough in advance, I will consider it. Understand that these times are in high demand, so rescheduling or canceling at the last minute prevents others from having that time.

Also understand that the only times I have available are the times that show open on my calendar.

Book Your Time!

All good and reasonable? Great! Now go ahead and book your time…
