There’s another update to site links…
Site links allow you to highlight three or more extra links below your ad creative.
You can define these manually, but Meta will also scan the URL you provide and source site links for you.
The Problem and the Change
The problem with this in the past was that sourced site links automatically generated the display label and it couldn’t be changed. The label is what is visible to users, and it is pulled from the URL’s title. That can be wordy and clunky for this purpose.
Luckily, you can edit it now instead of creating a new site link manually. Hover over one of the generated site links, and you’ll get an option to upload an image or edit the site link.
If you choose to edit, you’ll be able to edit the thumbnail, display label, and URL. The character count for the label is 15.
Keep in mind that site links aren’t shown on your ads in every placement. It’s an Advantage+ Creative enhancement that will only appear for certain people in specific placements.
