Chocolate and Stout: Finding a Niche Within a Niche

Finding a Niche

This episode was broken down into the following sections:

  • The Pubcast: Changing Direction
  • Your Business: Choosing a Niche
  • Relationship Between Delegating and Business Growth

Some Things to Consider…

If you want to find your ideal business niche, first start by asking the following questions…

  • What are you good at?
  • What are you passionate about?
  • What is your target audience about? What do they need help with?
  • Where is the opportunity?
  • What niche requires an investment?

Did you complete that exercise? Now…

  • Zero in on three niche topics ( a.k.a passion)
  • Assemble a list of questions and problems
  • Which list is longer? Which do YOU like best?
  • Who will make a financial commitment?

Jon, this is great! I have three lists. Two are starting to bore me and the third is still flowing away. I’ve focussed on a niche that is willing to invest too. I’ll come back to you when it turns into something. Have a great weekend :-)

The Mari Smith bit cracked me up. :) Starting my lists! I need to niche down more, but it really is scary for sure! Plus, so much to choose from in social media, as you know, hard to know which to choose!

  • Lynn Conley

This is too good to be true – a guy that extols the virtues of outsourcing, Facebook and beer. Business owners should listen closely to you Jon. Cheers!

Well, I loved to listen to you Jon! It makes me come up with new learning every time. Facebook is one of the biggest social networks and to enhance the brand’s visibility on social media, this was a great podcast. Thanks for sharing such informative and useful things here.

Hi Jon, I just found your website for the first time and I am curious about your podcast. But is it not possible to download it as mp3 file? I do not have i-tunes (and do not want it) but want to listen to it on the go on my Android phone – simple as an mp3 file… not possible??
